I'm pretty proud of Server Corps' data center. I mean, we have > 1000 rack units of space available. Well, a Realtor snagged some aerial pics of Apple's new data center, and by the looks of it, the janitor's closet is going to be bigger than our entire facility! > 1 Billion (that's a B) dollars worth of data center, in one spot. You can add Server Corps' name in the race. We currently run a 10 node XenServer cluster, but are ramping up to offer full cloud computing services. Competition in the cloud-computing market is bound to heat up this year, Gary Orenstein writes. More acquisitions and partnerships are likely this year, he argues, as Microsoft, IBM, Google, Oracle and Cisco all jostle for market leadership. South Alabama builds USA Center for Forensics and Information Technology Security

The University of South Alabama has established the University of South Alabama Center for Forensics and Information Technology Security. The new USA CFITS was established by USA President Gordon Moulton on the recommendation of Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. G. David Johnson. Full News Release
Report: Most data breaches go undetected

The majority of data breaches are uncovered by third parties, while 9% are discovered by the enterprise experiencing the breach, according to a report from Trustwave. A high number of false alarms and a lack of automated, policy-based security controls are among the reasons for security lapses, the report finds. Full Article

Ok, a quick update. All of our systems are now certified (UPS, FM-200 Fire supression, generator, HVAC), and our BGP peering between our providers is complete.
